A GLOBAL ROCK OPERA PHENOMENON.
Jesus Christ Superstar, do you think you're what they say you are? An explosive, dynamic telling of the last week of Jesus’ life, full of iconic music, exhilarating dance, and stirring performances. The greatest story ever told, following the exuberant faith of Jesus’ followers, the betrayal of Judas, and the devastating finale. A story of faith, passion, and betrayal, as relevant today as it was 2000 years ago, leaping off the Sagebrush stage in an all-new, original WCT production.
What’s the buzz? This quintessential 1970’s rock opera is an exuberant smash-hit that has wowed audiences worldwide for over 50 years! Originally conceived as a concept album, Jesus Christ Superstar was the first professionally produced musical created by musical theatre legends Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice—creators of classic musicals Evita, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and more. Filled with powerful voices and well-known classic rock musical numbers as “Superstar,” “I Don’t Know How to Love Him,” and “Gethsemane.”
